NZ might be most free of corruption but it is still a sorry state of affairs and should be improved a LOT. There are frequently cases of corrupt officials acting in their own interests rather than the public interest. They should be keel-hauled and left as shark food to be recycled into shark fin soup.

While I don't have statistics, it seems that there is a lot more corruption in NZ than in the good old days. But maybe that's just my awareness.
