And that’s good news for Amazon and Apple. Especially for Apple, actually, because it creates a market in which the iPad dominates the high end, the Kindle Fire the low and leaves little room for a serious rival in between.

I think that this forecast is going to end up being proven correct. Once Amazon comes out with a low-end 10" tablet, there just doesnt seem to be much room left for the various first-tier Android tablet manufacturers.

I see both upside and downside for Q. Share will be limited if they dont ultimately win the Amazon design slots, but OTOH, if they were to grab those slots, they could single handedly wipe out most of their competitors tablet share. Krait should be well timed for a potential 2nd generation Fire in 2012.
