Bill, I agree that Micron's advertising needs targetted a little differently to be effective. IMO if you want to get your name out you've got to be in publications with the widest distribution and the largest audience.... which is probably not the trade magazines. (There are so many of them; you have to get to a lot of them to get coverage; it's hit or miss). They need advertising in BW, Fortune, Forbes, NYT, WSJ, INFO WEEK, maybe CIO. The people who pay the bills and run the organization need to hear more about these PC's, their quality and value. The technical folks want them; but the business folks pay for them. Again, IMO MUEIs still selling from the 'technical' point of view and they've got to get across the chasm. (Their park bench ad gets to this idea; it's cute and memorable, but it might have been better if they had found a positive way for the message, rather than highlighting the loser).
