That is what I'm saying. More and more apps are converting to using fragments so the same app runs on your phone and tablet, but it looks completely different on a 4" screen, or a 10" screen. And the new updates are coming hot and heavy over the past couple of months. Those kind of apps are numbering into the 10s of thousands already and more are converting every day. Add to those the Android iPhone apps that scale properly to use the additional resolution, and you are talking 100s of thousands of apps.
