What do you do when patients do not tolerate viracept, or it fails?. You change to something else, Cryx is better tolerated than norvir.
I have never really liked cryx, most of the pts I have given it to developed renal stones, it is hard to take. But, still it is in the armamentarium.
In about 6 months, I predict that Viracept will be #1.
By the way, keep the faith. Your son should do well, it sounds like he is being treated well. I have found that when patients are treated agressively, and optimally, they do very well. I have patients that were dying back in 1991, and they are doing well.
I only had 3 patients die in 1995, 2in 1996, and 2 this year (out of over 200). You should see my patients, I should look that good.

Thank you,

JLL
