If it really hit the fan....I'd tell Auntie Rose I'm moving in.....200 acres.....bass pond......all the wild turkey, deer and misc little creatures you could ask for.....

but the location can't be defended.

My thoughts would run to Montana. Fresh water fish, big game, good soil and with a few good wood stoves and chain saws life could be sustained for years. A bit rustic...but survivable. The defense would be the distance one could see bad guys approaching and the potential to have at least one direction unapproachable due to limited passageways......sorta like a box canyon type of deal with only one exit route. Thermopylae comes to mind.

then you select the proper people with the proper tools. Diesel generators, a nice Kubota tractor or two, somebody with medical/ER/trauma background and a handful of those proficient in ending threats.

oh yeah....you need a good cook, too.

Yep, a few dozen of the right folks could survive right nicely.
