Shorts of JPM [46 to 30], WFC [31 to 24] and BRCM[36 to 30] now all closed, and with some success. <i have always found it difficult to earn goodies by shorting directly or via puts
the game takes a certain disposition and fortitude
to me, to short is to fight the fed
i rarely fight the fed

I am still looking forwards to buying gold. I have only once in my life bought gold, and that was as traditional jewelry, though I admit to buying some of it as electrical contacts in Cyberspace DeVices.

I hope to buy gold very soon. Maybe even Monday [USA time]. I suppose I have already bought it in a way since I agreed to do so some time ago [and am obligated to do so].

Fighting the Fed seems an excellent idea and I plan to do it in a big way, and have started doing it, and the score is going very very greatly in my favour, to the extent that many serious commentators are pretty much declaring my victory [though they do not say it in those terms].

Prices seem to go down much faster than they go up and irrational exuberance seems easier to see than undervalued NPVs. It is a very recent experiment for me to short and I might get serious lessons.

Flash crashes are such a huge opportunity that it's a shame to be a bystander.
