Crossy - thx.

Regarding Uncle Al, yes, I think he is riding high and doesn't ve much to lose. Personally, I m for all the initiatives, especially I ve given up the idea of seeing any SSI benefits when it comes to my time, even though I ve been paying alot for many years. Yes, you are right, if cpi is even adjusted so slightly (it doesn't even ve to reflect the truth,) the benefits to the financial systems will be huge.

But then, there are a lot of pols who do not ve much of a backbone to do the right things. What, tingering with the SSI and COLA (Cost of Living Adjustments)?! And they are scared out of their wit <sg>

But then, the berlin wall did come down, so who knows <g>!

Actually, I am also for safety nets and social pgms, and I do believe one can do both with going to the extreme. Guess I am not much of a Ayn Randian <vbg>.
