Good comments. As you know, today no limit is the craze. But limit is what the seasoned pros play to make a decent living. No limit is for excitement. Unfortunately, that means emotion and that means problems. Whether it is real estate, stock markets, poker, or many other games there is always a systematic an intelligent approach that can be used to maximise the game. And like an investment guru once said : this should be boring and strictly by the numbers. Get your excitement on the ski slopes or in bed.

I have read books by many poker players but let me mention briefly Hellmuth and Negreanu. Both are smart and savvy, yet I have watched both of them playing like nits and paying the price for it. Looking for excitement and forgetting fundamentals. Getting knocked on their asses by the virus of invincibility. Listening to too many "new" experts that made them forget what got them there in the first place. Trying to force the cards when they were not running.

One of the most disciplined players I have seen is Chris Ferguson. And God is he boring! But I don't think he ever has to to be restaked like even Brunson and Moss had to from time to time. Although with endorsements and books and stakes in online casinos...times have changed.

I read somewhere that there is no new thing under the sun. Well, I know one thing...when you are playing a numbers game you go with the numbers.
