I agree the power to do such things can be abused. If a power can be abused, it will at some point in the future be abused. In this case, I think it was properly used. If Bush had done it, I'd have felt the same.

Perhaps stripping Al-Awaki of his American citizenship BEFORE we killed him would have been more proper. But by then, perhaps the opportunity would have passed, and he might have increased his own security had that happened.

I'm glad he's dead. At my core, I'm an opportunistic pragmatist, not an idealist. It's why I still support Obama, despite bitter disappointments. I don't see anyone better likely to become president.
