<<When the night has gone really good you sometimes get into a zen-like state where you get to see most of the flops for no relative risk in terms of what you have won and how the table is cowed. That is when I have to get a grip on myself and look for an exit strategy (talking no-limit here). You ever get that giddy feeling?!>>

Sure, sometimes I have such a command of the table they have no chance against me. What I think is happening, is the unconscious mind takes over, which recent research has indicated is much stronger than the conscious mind and actually does most of our thinking anyway.

One experiment I just read: close your eyes and pretend you are driving on the freeway and try to move from the left lane to the right lane. Can't do it you will drive right off the road. So we change lanes unconsciously.

A couple of years ago when I was playing on the road along the west coast, I stopped into the poker room in El Centro right across the Oregon boarder from Portland. It was a small club and only had one 20/40 game. I had been playing for a couple of months and my game was tight.

Anyway, I just ran over the game and cashed out about 5 racks in just a couple of hours. They would not let me in the game the next day.
