Has anyone actually considered the fact that any "legal" immigrant to this country can LEGALLY IMPORT ALL OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS?
So let's say that a beautiful Mexican girl gets pregnant and makes it across the border to any hospital in Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas -- or anywhere else in the US -- just in time to deliver a bouncing baby boy or girl.
Did you know that by Federal law, none of those hospitals can turn that Mexican girl away from the emergency room, and that she is given full, quality medical care that is equivalent to any American citizen who has worked, paid taxes and bought medical insurance?
Now the little Mexican baby born here (because his mother is a liar and a thief to cross our borders illegally) automatically BECOMES an American citizen with all the rights that citizenship bestows -- actually more, because he is now a ward of the American taxpayers, probably for life -- at least for 20 years.
Now let's fast forward to when this Mexican turned American baby is an adult. Firstly, he/she has had every right to live here all along even if he/she never learned to speak English. Did we separate him from his mother? NOT ON YOUR LIFE! But NOW as an adult, he also has to right to "IMPORT" his mother and all of his family.
Of course, his mother has been here all the time because, at least in California, Social Services are not allowed to ask for citizenship documentation before handing out money, food stamps, section 8 housing, medical and dental care.
If US taxpayers are lucky, they will only pay for his free bi-lingual education. If not, they will pay his way through the court system and imprisonment -- repeatedly!
MORAL: Newt is right. Even if we ever got enough "leaders" to try to deport those who are here for over a generation, it simply isn't going to happen -- in most cases.
