I should give Kitty a little spray bottle of ammonia water to use on the dog?

Now, why did you have to go and take sides?.....<g>

Spritzer bottles are a great way to train cats too (just water, no ammonia).

When I was stationed at NAS Brunswick I was living in this cabin out in the sticks..... A neighbor's cat had a litter and she offered me my pick, so I took a male and a female after she assured me that they were both weaned (one was, one wasn't), both all black with white socks. Turns out that females (Mauwer) tend to take longer to wean than males (Leon). I'd wake up in the morning with Leon wrapped around my head and Mauwer suckling my tee shirt...big wet spit mark....yuck<g> Shortly after I got them, I started training them with the bottle. After a week or 2 of working with them a bit each night they knew their names 'individually' and knew what NO meant and where I didn't like them to go (counter tops etc).... After they grew up a bit they acted more like dogs than cats. I'd come home after work and pull into my dirt U driveway.....they'd be no where to be found, until I turned off my car engine, when I got out, they'd both be sitting there waiting to great me......
