know how to use a sextant Not too many around that know how to do that now. Took me forever to get it right. I would be off by 20 miles or so. Sometimes that can make a big difference. I had a really nice sextant that somebody stole off my boat. Had to be someone I knew. Never did find out who it was. Took a class through one of the yacht clubs and it was a bunch of fun because everybody had the same problems. They're probably offering classes in GPS and navigation now. I could hit the marker buoys right on using Loran C, but that's not supported anymore.
