OK, here's what's going to happen in the Tech sector: What we've got is a game of chicken going on with the tech funds. No one wants to be the last one holding a large position in case of another market decline and no one wants to be left in the cold when everyone else decides to buy back in. We all know that AMAT is the bellwether stock for the semis, right? So now they announce record earnings and everyone has their hand on the button ready to buy back in but everyone is still waiting for everyone else. When one goes they all will go and the stock will shoot up. It will then be a mad rush to buy the other stand-out performers in the sector. - Jeff Disclaimer: Jeff also thinks the Jets and Giants will both win their divisions.
