I forgot how unreasonable hatred and prejudice can be.

You forgot, or more likely, didn't know that Iran closed the straits in '79.

In doing so wouldn't it also be destroying itself?

Not necessarily. Reagan would give them 24 hours to shut down operations or ELSE. DM, ---. You won't get any "gutsy" call out of him.

How can any economy exist with destruction of the world economy?

Ask Hitla, or the Kremlin maniacs. People reason up to their narrow minded self interests, and not beyond. Each thinks his own watch keeps the correct time when none of them do.

So will this so called "transparent" fed approach work any better?

They've been progressively more transparent since the '70s.

This doesn't seem to build confidence either

What good does it do to reveal all the details of a wrong approach?.They need to be stingy, secretive, and let the market determine the price of money. Then they're off the hot seat with little loss of assumed, non-Constitutional power.

More proof that prejudice makes one unreasonable.

Prejudice comes from ignorance and hubris.

No one can stop this development.

True. You got that from this place. In this case I know how capable Iranian physicists are. Anyone who thinks they aren't as sophisticated as Oppy, better think again. Just a matter of engineering, and therefore, of time.

Only way to stop them is to destroy them so what's the point of trying?

True. It is the policy of this nation not to attack based on hearsay. The Iran nuclear program isn't a threat unless we or others make it into one. Besides, we should have helped them develop peaceful, nuclear power generating capacity, instead of approaching Akhmed's bellicose threats with belligerence. This is where I disagree with other conservatives like Levin.

If this threat doesn't come to fruition I still believe Oil is done for some time.

No doubt. It has been oversupplied for years and has been in that condition because of DM's anti fossil fuel lunacy. You could call it "oil premium".

There is so much oil out there in so many places. It is an abundant commodity that needs an accelerating economy to give it any real value. Right now we have too much of one and not enough of the other.

True.
