>>>Was it the right kind or just bogus chips?<<<

Jeff it was bought at Office Depot and labeled on the package as the correct memory to use. I don't remember the brand other than it was a three letters or more like three initials...something like EPV, I just don't recall.

The company had good people at their phone in tech support who would exchange or refund, it was my choice. When it didn't work the second time I called Micron Electronics' tech support, they said that alot of memory is available and the Micron PC required the higher end memory. This was supported by a techie I know who said Micron is known to use better memory which allows them to tweak their PCs to run faster.

Micron Electronics wanted just over $100 bucks more for the same memory I bought from Micron Technology's "Crucial Technology".

"After listening to David's warning thoguh, I researched my manuals, went to the Acer website and made sure I knew what I was looking for.
Good thing as I would have wasted time and money."

The nice thing about my PC being a build to order PC is it came with a Build Spec. Sheet which tells me exactly what was installed in the machine along with part numbers etc., matter of fact now they (Micron) keep all that in their database, so all I have to do is give them my name, company name or serial number.

"If she would have just worked with me on the problem I would have been patient as can be, but her attitude sucked.
She acted like it was MY fault that SHE screwed up. ?????"

Oh man...you should have just turned on the Jeffy charm! <G> I bet you didn't even wink or wiggle your eyebrows. <G>
