Jermoluk was #2 at Silicon Graphics, has a California culture (once mooned the crowd at an SG "All Hands" party), but was educated at VPI. That he is @Home president & chairman at a relatively tender age with so many "suits" on the board speaks well for him. I read this board regularly; seldom post; own the stock. Reason = not the fundamentals (they're not there yet); not that cable will be the answer (jury's still out on that one too); the reason is that every @Home customer who posts on this board and the Fool board love the service. I read 12 posts on this thread tonight and clocked the waiting time; it was a 12 second average. That's over 2 minutes of watching the aol triancle twist slowly in the cyberwind. Econ 101, "build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door." Twice what they're asking for the service would be cost effective!
