LGS Group Selected as Prime Vendor by Department of
National Defense of Canada
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--LGS Group Inc. is pleased to announce that LGS
TEAM 2000 (LGS, Macdonald Dettwiler and Associates, Prior Data
Sciences, Software Kinetics Ltd. and Valcom Ltd.) has been
officially awarded placement and standing offers by the Department
of National Defense of Canada for Year 2000 compliance work.
Actual contracts for work in these areas to be awarded to LGS TEAM
2000 are estimated to exceed $25 million over the next four years.
The Department of National Defense has budgeted $90 million for
information systems Year 2000 compliance over this period, and the
LGS TEAM qualified among the highest overall in the bid process.
"We are obviously delighted to have been selected by DND as a
primary provider of Year 2000 compliance services," Andre
