LOL! This is typical of the mindless invective used as currency by those who either willfully or through ignorance misrepresent both Objectivism and Rand. I have seldom heard such a pathetic diatribe. From the first sentence till the last it is vicious crap:

WOW! And some people write entire books like this! Just cobbling together untrue statements and gratuitous implications hoping that it will stick to those unwilling to parse it.

We really do not understand all the connections in our society (so ayn Rand was almost a serial killer)?

And we certainly don't understand man's connection to the planet. (so ayn Rand was almost a serial killer)?

But I think most healthy people understand that no man is an island, (so ayn Rand was almost a serial killer)?

And all of those people can easily understand why Ayn is wrong (because Ayn must have almost been a serial killer)?

Ayn was really was a tiny little island, an island that died unloved and alone. (completely untrue and risible)

You only need to understand social biology. Everything Ayn stood for is against the social evolution of animals.(News to me! She stood for a lot of things and all of them were against the social evolution of animals!??? No wonder she sells nearly a million books every year!)

The path of Ayn is the path of social destruction. (yes. This poster keeps supplying the amazing evidence!!!!)

And the crap continues for several more lines of gibberish. LOL!

Not ONE quote from Ayn Rand. Not one fact about Ayn Rand. So I will quote her:

Ayn Rand reversed the Judeo-Christian mysticism exhorting altruism and self sacrifice in favor of the virtue of selfishness (not being a parasite) and giving freely as value rather than as self sacrifice (not allowing oneself to be used by parasites but giving generously to those you valued).

This poster's dishonesty (and vile and pugnacious vituperation) suggests membership in one of the camps Ayn condemned and attacked. My guess (and it is only a guess--the parasite camp).

If this poster had quoted Ayn even once and tried to rationally critique what she stood for rather than transparently creating a ludicrous mischaracterization and misrepresentation of her beliefs...one could then at least have given him credit for being honest--even if stupid. But that post was completely self serving and abjectly dishonest.

When people see these sorts of unfounded attacks they become curious as to what sort of good she must have stood for. Such attacks push people over to her side and are one of the major reasons she gains new admirers every year. Honest criticism of her would cause intelligent people to fairly consider the premises of Objectivism.

Robert Nozick ( telegraph.co.uk ) thought that Rand had failed to prove her philosophy because he believed that the desire to die as a rational alternative to living invalidated the ultimate congruency of her premises. He was a great philosopher and that is the sort of criticism that can be discussed and refuted or countered. Saying we are lucky she was not a serial killer and going on to state nonsense gains no respect from any serious seeker of information and meaning and says nothing about the target and EVERYTHING about the attacker. So sad they seem so blind to this transparency...
