CDR: (Dow Jones)--WRT Realty LP reported a 7.6% stake in Cedar Realty Trust Inc. (CDR), according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Shares of the real-estate investment trust jumped 8.6% to $4.30 in recent trade, though its shares are still off about 32% year to date. According to the filing, WRT Realty purchased its 5.2 million shares of common stock for about $18.8 million. WRT Realty, which is the operating partnership of Winthrop Realty Trust (FUR), said that, as a result of its investment, it "intends to consider appropriate methods of maximizing the value" of Cedar Realty's common stock.
