A Constitutional Republic is much better as Rand said when defending human rights and freedoms against the collective of communism which had swept the planet. Some propagandist might start calling you vicious names after you are dead! "You seem to go out of your way to protect Rand." Not going out of my way, at all. I am protecting ideas. Democracy killed Socrates. Individuals had no rights until the American and French Revolutions. Freedom was paid for through the centuries with the blood of thousands of martyrs to Truth and Reason. What they fought for deserves to be defended. A Constitutional Republic deserves to be defended. Freedom from King and Priest deserves to be defended. Freedom from Communism (collectives have rights-people do not) deserves to be defended.
