"we need cheaper raw material prices". It sounds like world need to be subsidized. It happened before. Inflate what you have. Deflate what you need (raw materials).

With better terms of trade, emerging market (producers of commodities) can import more from the advanced economies. The advanced economies exports are doing good. What is not exported -or the sector that supplies only the advanced economies' internal market) is doing bad.
