"we need cheaper raw material prices". It sounds like world need to be subsidized. It happened before. Inflate what you have. Deflate what you need (raw materials).

Commodity prices are already being subsidized by lower currencies. A cheaper dollar causes commodity prices to rise.

I'm not saying that I have the total answer, because obviously a rising dollar leads to deflationary pressures overall and a higher trade deficit for the US when other countries keep their currencies low.

No.. the solution is finding more sources of raw materials to meet demand. Also, we need to halt the manipulation of the energy markets because they underpin all economic growth. Drill, Drill, Drill.. research, research, research.. etc.. Without cheap energy, economic growth is doomed to stagnate.
