Anyone adjusting/modifying their approach to dividend growth investing in 2012 ??

=====

I'm now screening all my holdings and requiring that they have
sufficient earnings to cover the dividends paid or in other words
a "payout ratio" of less than 1.00 .. As a result I've sold off some
MLPs, REITs and a telcom or two .. I realize that MLPs and REITs
distribute "free cash flow" and should probably be measured on that
metric, but I'm going to stick with the "earnings" filter anyway ..

I'm also planning to selectively hedge my holdings utilizing "volatility" and
"inverse" ETFs as I've had good success in 2011 doing so ..

Triff ..
