I ordered some RAM from Crucial.com and they sent me and e-mail when it was due to ship. They included this paragraph: We've compiled a list of simple maintenance tips to help restore performance, and we recommend you perform them before installing your memory upgrade. Please visit our website at: crucial.com I thought some of us who are ordering RAM or just as a general computer maintenance procedure might find it useful.
