Soon US will be restarting in a different foot too.

US has already restarted on another foot.

Look for the 2nd Obama term to herald a further increase in the rate of demilitarization and increases in the emphasis on the use of statecraft to advance US interests.

By grossly overreaching during the Bush years and continuing to show their asses during this cycle, the forces of greed, fascism and militarism have finally been outed to an American electorate that is finally getting it.

The revelation that members of Congress, running as a pack with the pigs, have increased their net worth substantially, while the average citizens have lost over the last decade will come home to roost.

I look for a period of re prioritization of American strategies in dealing with the world, with a pronounced reduction in military initiatives.

Not only because it is a better approach, we simply cannot afford to continue guaranteeing the safety of the British Empire and our other "friends" just because we are the biggest dumbest kid in the gang.

And the sooner we wean ourselves from these Republican political tendencies, the better off we and the world will be.
