They only got together on Bush's domestic agenda, which was "compassionate conservative" ie non-conservative. I just posted the NYT saying so, but you can't accept it because it violates your faith-based worldview in which Bush was the arch-demon of liberalism. Let's face facts. Bush was basically a conservative-moderate Democrat on domestic issues. He got the most opposition on these issues from conservatives. The Republicans still make a mockery of bipartisanship in the Senate, with a slim Democratic majority, with the constant* threat of filibuster. Nasty win at any cost obstructionists.* Good, the Democrats are trying to ruin the country. Republicans ought to fight them at every step. civility in Washinton DC. Liberals spent 8 years shouting Bush is Hitler and you have the gall to use the word civility. Shame on you.. Obama is fing up everything he touches with his race to socialization and putting corrupt corporate cronies in the driver's seat. made teachers focus on tests, and not teaching kids to think and process.* Gimme a break. Liberals have been ruining public education, not teaching children anything. Though there may be overkill, testing is necessary. Liberals graduating illiterates has to stop.
