the death knell of socialism is tolling faintly in the distance. it will grow louder and be heard around the world, or silenced in the 2012 elections. it might not sound like a big deal at first, but it is.

north dakota is putting a measure to end all property taxes on the ballot. this means that north dakota may become the only state where one can actually fully own property. if the measure passes, the value of property in north dakota will increase. it will also help the economy of the state in non obvious ways.

many people will start to move to north dakota and many socialists will start to howl that it's not 'fair' for one state not to have property taxes. but of course that would be a joke, since every state has the right to end property taxes if they choose to.

if it passes, the success of it will put pressure on the other states to end property taxes. and the socialists will be crying in their beer at the injustice of it all. it's a small step in the march to freedom and the return to the constitution, but it's a good beginning.

good luck north dakota.
