The polls mean nothing

The polls mean nothing when you don't like what they show and you want to be optimistic. Sure, people have come from behind in the past (Reagan). None of the candidates in 2012 are anything close to Reagan (definitely not Newt - a legend in his own mind).

Much can happen. IMO this election is too important to take big risks with people like Ron Paul or Newt. Obama might swap out Biden to win a key state or two. Events in 2012 that we don't yet know could be either very positive or very negative for either candidate.
