Brumar, Winter solstice has been an important date for a long long time.. Personally I always feel great waking up after the longest night of the year.. knowing each day will spend a little longer time in the light for the next six months :O) I didn't say it was stolen ... but it certainly is popular and convenient.. There are lots of dates offered for Jesus birth and I've never heard of a definitive one... lots of calendar machinations though...What we do on the date and throughout the year is what is important anyway.. picking an exact date is moot IMO Blackie
