Women just value things differently: < Men always say that women are the irrational ones, but I disagree. Most men always seem to be shouting about something or other, whether it's politics or sports or work, or some other kind of competition, or loudly lusting about young women, or cars. Always braying and spraying and beating their chests and making a mess. > Men, like all mammalian males and all males other than a few which look after the young, have to compete vigorously if not viciously to get a chance to procreate, which has been nature's determinant of success for eons.

Women go for safety and security. Males take the chance. Who dares wins [or loses, but they only lose the same as those who do not dare]. Whether they think they will win or lose, they are likely to be right either way.

Watch chimps and primates in general. When there's an alarm, the young males rush to the fight, the females and babies run to the back. Male gorillas beat their chests literally and run around ripping up small trees when they wan to do a display. It's not surprising that being closely related, men do much the same.

What's rational for one person is irrational for another. It depends on what the individual is trying to achieve.
