Watch chimps and primates in general.
Funny you should mention that. From the studies I have read, the people who sit quietly observing chimps and gorillas and other primates for years, or a lifetime, are women. Why is that?
In 2010 two lady lions at the National Zoo had a total of seven babies within weeks of each other, and they were SO CUTE! Hundreds of thousands of people, male and female, old and young, every color of the rainbow, came to see the lion cubs playing; if you like kittens there is no race creed color gender thing going. It is just a pure joy to observe.
I went several times, and observed that the volunteer observers who were taking notes for science were all female. They were volunteers, so no hiring bias.
So Mq, I hypothesize that all the information you have at your fingertips about primate behavior that informs you about human behavior was gathered by a female. An observant female, perhaps near middle age, probably quiet by nature, the kind of women men don't see. |
