<<<You think that spending cuts somehow benefit the economy >>>>

Not at all, you are misrepresenting what I believe. You are trying to isolate into a single issue - the economy. What I'm arguing is that that is impossible to do. You seem to forget that I am on the extreme left when it comes to health care for instance. I want socialized medicine. BUT, and please understand this BUT Mary, whatever the government wants to spend money on has to be paid for. How would I pay for socialized medicine? Well I keep saying this but people continue to forget so let me say it again; I would pay for the programs I think are important by shrinking the military. I would also place a tax on energy.

What I do find evil is the hubris that our government has that they think they can spend our kids money better than they can. You want to do all these grand stimulus ideas, but they have to be paid for. And then you have to also pay the interest on all that debt. You - and others - seem to think of the grand keynesian spending by Roosevelt and yet that keynesian spending that you think worked so well took 15 years and a final World War of the magnitude of something I sure never want to see again. That's success?

Obama got the biggest stimulus he could - that's the world we live in. Sure Krugman may say it wasn't big enough, but taking that argument it can never be big enough. More and bigger bubbles. So you place politicians in an absolute impossible situation more spending, more debt. Now remember please, I was not against a stimulus. I agreed with the first Obama stimulus - although this last tax cut is nuts! I don't think it is worth bankrupting SS to stimulate fat cats on wall street!
