FWIW, I picked up my G3 last night and got it set up, with Internet connection, in about 15 minutes. Most of that time was taken up by physically unloading the hardware out of boxes.

Folks, everything you've read about the speed of this machine is true. My mother, who's never worked on a Mac in her life and who will be the primary user of the G3, is already sending and receiving e-mail and surfing the 'Net after sitting down in front of the machine for the first time less than 10 hours ago.

I haven't had time to run too many real-world tests on it, but I have toyed a little with Photoshop, which opens and runs like it was a 750K app. Incredible.

And the new 720 monitor is a peach, too.
