Interesting how the issue of literacy is central to the Islamic world.

As though power is held by resisting efforts to expand education.

The powers that be in the region should been able to parlay some of that multi generational oil wealth into a few classrooms.

Probably feel more comfortable with the Imams controlling an ignorant superstitious populace.
