I don't know about everyone else, but I never really thought much about writing whatever in email. Now I do!

Sal, I guess you were too young to follow Iran/Contra. Ollie North thought email was gone when you deleted it. Too bad, they were running Profs on an IBM mainframe, everything got backed up.

Of course, you can encrypt it, on Unix anyway:). That always made it hard to export Unix though:(. In general, in my circles anyway, people thought it was good to always think of email as potentially publicly readable.
