IBD reported Thursday:
The summer introduction of Apple Computer's new operating system, O'S8 fueled its 577% sales growth in the third quarter compared with last year. It held a 33% share of operating system software sold at retail from 5% last year says researcher NPD Group. But Microsoft's Windows 95 launched two years ago held a commanding 63% share of the retail market sales of operating systems for the period".
