Yep! Believe he very well might. ('Cause so many of the religious conservatives appear to be coalescing around him --- and away from Perry/Bachman/Gingrich --- at exactly the right time.

But, it won't matter any... Iowa doesn't matter much anymore.

Paul will likely pull a close second in Iowa (and a distant second in New Hampshire)... so the really important thing (if you aren't ready to 'pucker up' for Romney yet) is: How will Newt do in South Carolina?????????????

Newt, (until very recently at least), was very much in the lead there.

Will he hold S.C. (right before the one that REALLY MATTERS, Florida)?

Or won't he????????????

(Because Iowa and even New Hampshire, given that Romney is a walk-away in N.H., AIN'T gonna matter for spit as far as deciding how the primary race turns out.)
