Loved Harold & Maude

and guess that is why was always was fascinated by relationships between age /experience and younger character theme ...seems such a waste society is always so youth based but its the way of things , still there's fascination in the mentorships that bear the greatest fruit between professors & students , those true peak experiences that isn't just immature groping in the dark , where someone really opens your eyes to knowledge of the world .

Think "Goodbye Mr Chips" was one of the more moving movie experiences had when i was young , how you just loved what the old English professor was able to teach the young students about life , to face the hard challenges & choices to come by pure aesthetics ...and they were his children . When he dies there is that truely significant loss at how many wonderful people were created having had the experience of learning from him thru the decades . My aunt was such a women who taught Art for 24yrs , 1rst woman Editor of the UCB Cal newspaper and inspired so many in her years of teaching that nearly 400 ex students & former classmates/professors etc attended her funeral .

Poor Bud Cort he got so typecast by that great role In Harold he didn't work for the next 6-7 yrs ...but Ruth Gordon so captured the role of Maude what a classic . So great to see such a talent get the opportunity later in years to play such a fun role & leave that classic legacy & delicate theme of such a love possibility ...and the pleasure was all ours .
