stan, thanks for your whimsical style - with a bit of rigor thrown in. no real responses on the omnitrader, so i decided to call and discuss the program with nirv @ 1-800-880-0338. the demo downloaded from nirv.com was impressive and the cost of the program is currently $295 and the independent telescan database @ $29 is pretty typical. now that i am going to the @home (cable hookup) and will be downloading at least 55.8 times faster than modem, it is looking better and better every day. although i am and have always been a 'fa' or value investor, it is time in these turbulent markets to take advantage of all of the charting techniques developed over the years. have been thinking of opening a new thread just for omnitrader and other users to share experiences. and let others see what we are doing. what do you think? ray
