Another way to look at that...

Would be to note that the systemic risks to the market... are ones that they REALLY can't afford to have be made an issue right now...

I think I've PEGGED the problem, in posts here this week...

But, if that is true... that means that you should expect a solid effort in playing defense now, to try to protect the market from being forced to recognize those failures that are occurring now.

So, that might be useful as a predictor, too... if you watch the events not so much from the perspective of one rooting to have the COMEX silver trade fail... but from the perspective of one who desperately wants to ensure that that doesn't happen... Not "desperately" enough to actually FIX the market functions to make the market work properly... but, desperately enough to want to ensure that the ability of banks to engage in manipulation of the markets is preserved... which won't happen if the market fails.

When do you think that the manipulators will feel comfortable enough with the "patch job" being applied to a broken market... to allow the trade to turn and apply a test of their repair job ?

A look at the step wise breakdown and trading patterns in the short covering that occurred in the early stages of the recent PM bull might be instructive ?
