Yes amazing. For the january effect I bought many stocks, approx 30 positions some of which began to show gains, and many more calls... also July EK calls.But in EK I decided to short as many shares and stubbornly stuck with that short position through the yearend. It paid off today as the call implied volatility shot through the roof (thus preserving a lot of options premium) and the short position pays everything....now, I could practically reverse the position into long, stock, short calls for a potential 50% gain, and little downside.
