" 0.6% of 240mil is 1.45million... didn't hit Verizon till last 2 weeks of December... and clearly supplies were low as every store was sold out and still is sold out..."
This is where my superior knowledge of Android helps us make the correct interpretation.
A true Android fanboy would realize that 1) 4.0, 4.0.1, and 4.0.2 are only on Galaxy Nexus, and 2) virtually all Galaxy Nexus’ are on 4.0, 4.0.1, and 4.0.2.
4.0.3 was the version that has been open-sourced and can be found on Nexus S’s and rooted devices (including any modded Galaxy Nexus), but no Galaxy Nexus has been officially upgraded to 4.0.3 as of Jan 3. So 720K (0.3% x 240 mil) is the right number for cumulative global GN sales.
With the UK offering the GN for a month and Canada for a week, as well as launching in Hong Kong at the same time as the US, I would guestimate the 2 weeks sales of the Verizon GN at 360K, just slightly higher than the HTC Thunderbolt's launch.
Also, FYI, Verizon stores are not sold out of Galaxy Nexus's. They have been in stock on store shelves since day 2. You are misinformed if you thought otherwise, but luckily, I am here to correct your lies. |
