I don't know why anyone is worried about the true conservatives. Quite simply, this is the most motivated the right wing has been in my lifetime. They may not be motivated or excited to elect someone specific, but they are definitely motivated to get Obama out of office.

The fight for votes will be in the center and Obama has done a fair bit of alienating in that group too.

I personally think that it is good that the more conservative candidates still have a voice so that Romney doesn't forget where much of his support is coming from.

And I agree with the idea that all of the R candidates should be meeting to come up with a strategy to beat Obama.
