Sam, here is a more detailed story about the event along with a picture of the woman's husband. I'm still confused as to what you and Epicure think she needs "help" with, but is sure sounds as if she was one level headed woman. She barricaded the door with the couch and called 911 and remained calmly on the phone with two different dispatchers for over 20 minutes. When the intruder - who had already taken drugs according to his accomplice - finally broke the door down with a knife in his hands is when the young mother protecting her child shot the intruder.
