Gerle Gold: Re: LA 26-30 Claims, Section 84 Review

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--By decision dated November 20, 1997,
James R. Moore, Assistant Deputy Minister, Northern Affairs
Program has overturned the Supervising Mining Recorder's decision
of May 10, 1996 which was in favour of Gerle. He has ordered the
reinstatement of the RIM 1-24 and MK 1-15 mineral claims, the
ground of which is in part covered by the LA 26-30 claims, and
ordered their transfer to Inukshuk Capital Ltd.

Although, as reported in Gerle's October 20th, 1997 News Release,
the results of Gerle's work to date suggest that the primary
sources of the indicator mineral trains found on the LA 26-30
claims are located on the LA 1-25 claims which are unaffected by
this decision, Gerle will seek advice of counsel as to the
availability of an appeal of this decision.

Gerle is extremely taken aback by this decision and believes that
it seriously undermines the effective administration of the Canada
Mining Regulations.
