You don't have a job because you can spend a lot of time playing footsie where you don't belong. That's what 62nd was trying to convey. The giveaway is the rationalization of going back into the sand box in order to play out a holy script of parental involvement, a script that is wildly popular because that's what adults do in the leisure class where subtly a third party is indirectly paying for their idle whims. Thus, government contributes to the delinquency of minors.
