The key variables to me are not with Romney but with the opposition--just how much they dislike the thought of his presidency, how willing the laggards are to give way to the winners, how well organized they are, and how much money they can muster. One of the more interesting things in that comment is that the commenter sees a three way race to the convention--Romney, Paul, and a social conservative. I hadn't really cut it up that way but it makes a lot of sense.
