Yes, but it should also be noted that if it wasn't for the Tea Party, the Republicans likely would have picked up two more Senate seats (Delaware and Nevada). Job 1 is getting rid of Obama and taking control of the Senate. The ideologically "pure" candidate is not always the most electable candidate.

And please don't forget..............if it wasn't for the Tea Party, republicans wouldn't have taken back the House in 2010, so dissing them for getting in the way of some agenda rings hollow.
